Welcome to the IAS

The core aim of IAS is to serve the public interest on alcohol policy issues. We do this by advocating for the use of scientific evidence in policy-making to reduce alcohol-related harm.

IAS are lucky to be one of the few organisations that does not depend on the Government or the alcohol industry for funds. This means IAS can be an independent voice on alcohol policy, translating the scientific evidence honestly, whatever the implications for those who have to make the hard decisions in practice.
