Mary Le Feuvre

Now retired, Mary is qualified as a barrister and spent her legal career in the Magistrates' Courts Service, initially as a legal adviser, providing advice on law and procedure to lay magistrates. She served in Surrey, London and Cambridgeshire, before moving to Hampshire in 1999 as Head of Legal Services for the Southampton and New Forest Magistrates. She was responsible for the legal advice provided to more than 300 lay magistrates, heading up a team of 20 lawyers. Her role also included justices' training in all areas of their jurisdiction, including criminal, family and licensing law.
